Semiwon & Dumulmeori

Updated: Feb 13, 2019

Lotus flowers in Semiwon (세미원) and Zelkova trees in Dumulmeori(두물머리) garden. Semiwon garden is a large botanical garden located at the confluence of Bukhangang River and Namhangang River, about 40km eastbound from Seoul. On summer (July-August), this garden is popular for hundred of blooming lotus flowers but I would recommend you to come here after 4pm to avoid the burning sun. After enjoying the fresh water stream and blooming flowers, cross the bridge of wooden boats connecting to Dumuleori garden. This garden is known for the 400-year-old Zelkova trees that appears as a one giant tree.
