Gyeonggi English Village 경기영어마을

Updated: Feb 13, 2019

Remember my old post about Petite France? In Petite France you can enjoy strolling around French-style village, meanwhile in Gyeonggi English Village you can enjoy living in an English-speaking country. Originally the purpose of building Gyeonggi English Village is to experience the English language and the cultures of English-speaking countries (the main target is Korean, definitely). In this village, you will find native English-speaking teachers who will help encouraging visitors to speak in English with foreigners. This is why when you visit this village you will see many school students on a study trip.

To enter this village, you will have to receive a certain passport (which is actually just an admission ticket but in the form of a passport) and with that passport you will have to pass the immigration to get in to the village.

Many shops where closed the last time I visited there, those which were opened were only Tom n Toms coffee and a pizza&pasta restaurant (was a bit pricy though so I recommend you to pack your own lunch or go to other places)

I recommend you to come here on a weekday so there will not be too many people and no need to queue to take pictures in certain spots. (and honestly, there is nothing much to see here except some nice spots for taking pictures ^^)

You can also enjoy a magic show for free which is only performed on a certain time (last time was 2pm)
