Pocheon Herb Island is popular as the filming site of several Korean dramas such as "Oh My Venus (2015)", "The Producers (2015)", "Hyde Jekyll, Me (2015)", "Cinderella's Stepsister (2010)", and other dramas. Not only Korean dramas but some Korean variety shows such as Running Man and We Got Married also filmed here! Located in Pocheon, Gyeonggi-do and established in 1998, Herb island is a tourist attraction that focuses on growing Mediterranean herbs. Although this "island" is located a little far from around 1~2hours from Seoul, it has certain charming point that makes people visit here up to million visitors every year.
There are several attractions you can enjoy in this place such as herb museum, herb healing center (don't forget to try herbal foot therapy and back massage!) , herb restaurant, bakery, santa's village, flower garden and others. I recommend you to come here in the evening since the light festival in this place is just amazing.
Herb healing center is the most popular attraction in this island. This centers provides a lot of programs such as herb tea experience, herbal foot and back massage, making soap experience, and others. They also sell various kinds of herb teas, candles, soaps, facial products, and other things which are mostly health products with the main ingredient, herb.
Santa's village is popular as the filming location of Korean drama "Oh My Venus (2015)". Even though Santa only appears during Christmas, Santa's village is available all year around even during summer. So, why not feel the fresh flavor of Christmas pleasure during summer?
You can also feed the donkeys here! and I heard kids can ride these donkeys too
The herb restaurant is also popular here. One of the main dishes is the herb bibimbap that comes with edible flowers.

1. Take the Seoul subway to Soyosan Station (last stop on line 1)
2. From the station (there's only one exit), walk to the opposite side of the road and wait for Bus 57.
3. Get off the bus at Samjeong-ri. You will a sign "Herb Island 300m". From there, follow the sign, walking straight for about five minutes, passing Samjeong Elementary School. You will find the entrance at the bottom of a hill on your left.
